What is HR?
Glad you asked! HR stands for Human resources. Essentially, HR covers all human-related matters in the workplace, from recruitment and training, right through to performance management and dismissals, plus everything in between. An HR consultant can help you find the right person for the job, write up employment agreements and job descriptions, help you to put training and performance management programs in place, as well as support you if things get a bit ugly. I’m having a challenging staff problem; what do I do?

Does Livewire offer an onsite HR service?
Yes, absolutely. If you require onsite HR help, then we can help. Just give us a call on 0800 HR LIVE to talk through your options and design a plan that works for you and your business.

I’m not sure which retainer is best for me; how do I choose?
Retainers are specifically designed to provide different levels of HR support, from covering the basics, right through to a comprehensive service. If you aren’t sure what the best option is for you, feel free to give us a call, we would be happy to help.
What do I get with my retainer?
We offer three different retainer plans to choose from based on your individual needs. If you choose a Livewired Team or Manager retainer, you may use your retainer hours for HR support such as employment agreements, job descriptions, support and advice, grow plans, documents and templates, company handbooks, and setting up competency frameworks and training programs.
Retainer packages do not include project work which is any activity that requires us to step in for you and do a large amount of hours of specialised work, such as recruiting, disciplinaries, health and safety manuals, or performance management. However, we are more than happy to support you to complete these tasks and can provide documents and advice along the way.

Do I need any additional HR services as well as my retainer?
Yes, you may. While Livewire’s wrap-around service aims to provide all of the day-to-day HR content you require, sometimes there are situations when you may need some onsite support or specific legal advice. If this is the case, give us a call, and we can assist in finding you the help you need.
How do I access my Livewired account?
Livewired access is included in the Livewired Micro retainer and can be added to Livewired Team or Manager for a small extra fee. Once you have signed up, an HR consultant will be in touch to give you access to the Livewire HR online platform.
Can I use my retainer hours in advance?
We allow retainer clients to use one month of hours in advance. If this is exceeded, you will be charged for any additional hours at our hourly rate of $189. For example, if you were on a Livewired Team retainer of 4 hours per month, and on the first month used 10 hours, then you would have used your monthly hours, your next months hours in advance, and will be charged for an additional 2 hours.
What happens if my 12 month contract has expired and I haven't used all my hours?
Our team will make their best effort to contact you about your accumulated hours long before your contract expires, however, if you still come to the end of the 12 months with unused hours left on your account then these will expire. If you would like to continue with us for another 12 months, then your hours will not carry over onto the new contract.
Can I cancel my retainer at any time?
Your subscription comes with a 12-month contract. However, we understand that sometimes life happens and you may want to cancel or adjust your contract. If this is the case, please contact our team and discuss your situation as we deal with circumstances like these on a case by case basis.
